Anthony Vine

Anthony Vine (b. Ohio, USA, 1988) is an American composer currently based in Seattle, Washington. His musical language concentrates on the physicality of sound production, exposing the extremities and fragility of sound. He received his B.M. in music composition from The Ohio State University, and is currently pursuing a M.M. in music composition at the University of Washington, studying with Huck Hodge. His music has been performed by JACK Quartet, Pascal Gallois, ensemble Besides (Belgium), Sunday at Central, among others. He has participated in masterclasses and lessons with an eclectic array of composers, including Brian Ferneyhough, Zygmunt Krauze, Enno Poppe, Liza Lim, and David Lang. In addition to his studies, Anthony works as an intern for The International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE).
