Anna Stachurska is a first year master’s student in Music Composition at the University of Washington where she is studying with Juan Pampin. She finished her B.A. in the Academy of Music in Kraków, Poland, in Professor Zbigniew Bujarski composition class.
In 2008 she was awarded 3rd prize in the composers competition during Days of John Paul II in Kraków. In 2011 she received William Bergsma Endowment for Excellence in Music Composition. She participated in composers workshops in Poland and Czech Republic, and in the Intermedia Workshop organized in a number of European countries, where she worked with Marta Ptaszyńska, Rytis Mažulis, Martin Smolka and Uroš Rojko. Her pieces were performed in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and the United States.
