Stilian Kirov leads the SSO in readings of music by three UW composers

Stilian Kirov – the newly appointed Assistant Conductor of the Seattle Symphony – led the Seattle Symphony Orchestra in a reading session of orchestral works by three UW composition students: Abby Aresty’s “Wildfire,” Yiğit Kolat‘s “Khrysanthemums,” and Josh Archibald-Seiffer‘s “Wat wvor’n schoon Vagel (“Von dem Machandelbaum”), which featured Seattle-based vocalist Sarah Marroquin-Kolat.

After the reading session, Kirov and the composers held a Q&A session to discuss the experience.
